JDM gauge cluster?

anyone using a JDM gauge cluster?

I'd like to switch over. rode in a 180 (240 with 180 clip, tail, etc) and the kid had his speedometer in km/h. i thought it was real interesting.

also, anyone seen the HUD unit some S14s have? does anyone sell those for our cars?

I dunno why you think it's neat...

If you really want a metric speedo, get a Canadian gauge cluster. Japanese ones only read up to 180km/h, and would be a lot harder to get hold of.

i guess it's just a mental thing.

one other note - when i rode in that 180, my heart jumped when i saw how fast we were going (until i realized it was km/hr)

seeing the speedometer rise as quickly as the tach was a little disorienting, thats for sure

haha km/h gaures are funny my friend has an option on his chev baretta to show km/h. It seems like your going fast but then you remember its km/h, and a baretta...I agree with amused it IS neat and different.

i had the jdm cluster in my 240sx for a couple days

(the 89-90's were sohc so the tach won't work on the SR20det)

I was fun for about 5 min then plain afwul. I just pulled the spedo and left the tach.

It wouldn't be bad but they don't have the conversions written on the cluster like the mph do with the km/hr smaller. All there was as Km/hr

ya the cnd ones would have mp/h in small letters...

the best is the "nightsports" cluster. 10k tach and I think 260km/h speedo. saw one for sale few weeks ago somewhere.

Yea, I read bcrx7, same nick.

I might show up, I'll have to see if I'm busy or not. Could be fun though.
