They're not FTP lenses, they're front marker lights. You will lose the FTP functionality, and gain pair of shockingly over-priced 5W lights...

Actually is it possible to take out the retractor fuse and just turn on the headlight and function as is? I have HID, so I assume it will have enough lights producing through those lenses. thanks in advance

Absolutely not. No matter how bright your headlight bulbs are, their output is severely restricted through the FTP lense. The result is way below minimum safe forward lighting levels.

The cost of the JDM lights is about the same as new FTP lights. SO if you want new new lenses, with no scratches, cracks or fog in them, you can pick which ones you want.

Polishing the FTP lenses back to as-new condition is free.

They're fine like that as daytime running lights, and doing so is a good idea as it improves your viability to other drivers. But doing this by pulling the RETRACTOR fuse is a bad idea as it means you have to replace it when you drive at night. A much smarter idea is this simple wiring mod that turns your headlights into DRL's but retains full functionality of the headlight switch for normal operation.
