what are the benefits of the individual throttle bodies?

nevermind, i'm doing a bit of reading:
http://www.fuji-racing.com/fujiracing_011.htm

How much does a whole ITB setup run? I think this is getting into the realm of dedicated track cars and not for street cars.

For a cali car you are definitely getting into the realm of track only car. there is zero chance of passing inspection with ITBs. For those who dont live in a ridiculously controlled state they are more than streetable.

Super throttle response...
More acurate combustion...
More torque through out the power band...

You have to be N/A though, Phoenix. You can toss a Velocity Stack on your turbo and have a half an ITB

I have both NA and TII but like I said this seems to be more for a dedicated track car as opposed to a weekend track warrior.

That's too much for me at this moment.

Thanks for all your guys info. But i was asking who else has a ITB setup. I myself have a ITB setup i just need to slap it on and get it tuned. I just wanted to know who else is running a setup. so i can know what all is done to there cars. Like for example i am running a ITB setup with a half bridge port job with a innovate lm-1 air fuel controller and a microtech lt10s.

I thought GT-R's were stock full ITB's with twin turbo from the factory? I thought turbo cars can definitely go ITB.

Try making a BETTER thread title next time. Had this thread been "who has ITBs on their FC?" I would most definitely NOT have posted and would have waited to see who posted and read about their setups.

You can PM a MOD or click on the "!" below your name(next to the green dot) and info and have a MOD change the thread title so you can get better attention from those you were originally targeting rather than those of us that don't know about them.

Technically true, but its not a true ITB setup. You can still have the indivual throttle bodies themselves, but the intake charge will be different as the turbo needs one pipe to pass through the exhaust, and then open up to the bodies. This requires a large air box, (depending on Velocity Stack size) and limits the induction to how much air the turbo can force in. And turbo+ITB cars still have turbo turbo lag, so the throttle response isn't as present as in NA cars. Like I said HALF an ITB .

Your post makes little sense. Its a hodgepodge of ideas in sentences that dont flow together, so i have no idea what you are talking about.

Here is a turbo manifold for tweak-it ITBs:
http://www.tweakit.net/shop/product_...oducts_id=5988

You can do both. The throttle response is improved. Turbol lag/spool threshold are seperate from throttle response. You still have the lag, but that doesnt mean that the engine isn't responding faster to throttle inputs.

You know what you're right, I'm a ****** dumb ***. Even though I've studied this and SEEN dynoed results, I don't have a clue what ITBs are. I don't even know what it stands for, let alone turbo lag. Do I have that on my 1989 Toyota Tercel? I should sell my cars, all of them, and stop reading about perfromance stuff becuase I'm obviously not a smart enough person to understand the concept. And my native language is spelled out NGYHYGNUINGTHING, so when I type in english it never makes sense. I keep getting Konsonants and mi Vowlz mixed up, and my grammar is horrible. I'm sorry I ruined this thread with my misinformation, I'm such a ******' dunce that I thought I knew something, but the powers that be made sure I'm wrong. Thanks, cause the opinion of someone who is SLOWER than me at the track really means a whole lot.

Peace

It doesn't matter if you're the fastest on the track.

It matters if you know your stuff.

You could be the fastest, and end up giving advice that blows someone's engine. (Not referring to anything in this thread, and not pointing fingers at anyone at all, just saying in general)
