Issues with Hotstart and Idle when hot 88T2
Hey guys, I'm just about at the end of my rope here...
I've searched everywhere and checked just about all I know how to.
Here are the symptoms.
Initial start of the day is fine... Idle is high around 1200-1400.. car drives perfect and powerful for about 20-30 mins...
I park... Come back 15 mins later and starting is difficult... If I dont hold the ignition until its absolutly all the way started it dies and wont start for about an hour.
If I do succeed in starting it, it will not hold any idle... drops down and if Im lucky will bounce a couple of time from about 200-500 rpms, but most often will just die.. This makes driving very dangerous as I have to maintain idle with my right foot and sorta heel-toe with both feet in order to decelerate w/o letting her die.
Okay...
I've tested and cleaned the BAC and everything is all good there.
TPS is perfectly adjusted and I am not receiving any engine codes.
All intake/exhaust gaskets are new and vacuum lines are checked and new.
Fuel injectors are serviced and good.
Mods are as follows...
Vac-rac removed... Hot start assist solenoid retained
S5 turbo and manifold
Full exhaust
Now the coolant hose that runs from the block to the TB is not connected
as I understand this is nescessary for the proper function of the thermowax.
I purchased a new hose from mazdatrix and I can't for the life of me get the damn thing on.
Now, nomatter how much I open the BAC adjusting screw the idle when its hot will not rise.
Please guys lemme know your thoughts. My beautiful car is basically not drivable.
If there is anything I left out lemme know..

have you checked the compression.......low compression can make hot starting a bitch.
And according to what you've done there's really nothing else you can do.
If you wanted though, you could just turn in the idle set screw on the TB until its holding the trottle at 1000rpm.....if you can live with that idle.......and 12-1400RPM is a little fast for a perfectly adjusted TPS......
