Intercooler piping material ?'s (grades/thickness/finish)

Hey, I've been trying to get some piping lined up for my fmic install. First I looked at the ebay kits, and they seem to be the thinner piping that as I've heard, are a pain to weld. I was told to look for 2mm (.083") thick pipe. Well, I've found a place that will sell the pipe in straight pieces or do bends for you, but I have a couple questions on aluminum pipe in general. What are the differences in the "grade" of pipe? The pipe I'm looking at is 6063 pipe. Also, it states that it is a "mill" finish. What exactly does that mean? Can that be polished? Does the grade of pipe have anything to do with it being able to be bent? Somebody shed some general info on what exactly to look for when buying this pipe.

I bought mine from Ebay, and mine welded fine.
It was raw though, you can't buy the anodized (sp?) or colored stuff if you're gonna get it welded.
Its working great so far, but then again, I'm only running a stock turbo...

yea, this was my plan at first...buying an ebay kit. The "polished" kits (not the colored ones)...is that what you have? I'm assuming a "mill" finish is just a raw finish...not polished, or anodized or anything. Do they still sell the kit you used on ebay?

Sorry I took so long to respond, but yeah, I think they still sell 'em.
I wouldn't buy from where I got it though, because even though the description says a certain size, some of the diameters were slightly off. Just search "intercooler piping" and whatever size, and you should get some kits that are raw aluminum.
