installing walbro help?

hey i got the pump and everything out of the gas tank and i am trying to reinstall the walbro into the factory location. the only thing is i cant figure out how to rewedge it in there since it is smaller than the factory one. i have pitures but i dont know how to show them so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im not sure exactly where you're stuck in the process but there should be a black piece of plastic you wedge into the top of the case(?) for the fuel pump and fit the new one into that.

when i bought the pump it came with the sock for the pick up an dthe wires. you know how to stock one is like wedged in there? well the walbro is smaller so it is sort of sitting in there it aint wedged in there like the factory one was.

well i got pictures if anyone is interested just tell me how to post them or what not. but anyway, all my kit came with was the sock for the bottom and the wires/plug. can i jsut clamp it to the side or is there something else that i can wedge int here to hgold oit in plcae?

Mine came w/ a new rubber isolator and long enough hose for the top that you should be able to get it snug enough to work. If not, just use a plastic tie to zip it to the bar behind the pump. Either way it should stay...

i can get it to fit into the top fine but i cant get it to sit in the bottom. and is it fine to cut the wires and use butt connectors? since it wil lbe in gas the whole time
