Installing S5 moldings

I know a similar question regarding body panels was asked but thought this case had enough of a difference to justify its posting.

Whats the best way to install these moldings? I know they have clips in them but unfortunetly some snapped off in the removal process. So now, at this point I was thinking of using auto grade double sided tape. I want something that'll do an excellent job of holding them (i.e. not falling off in an accident). Any other suggestions on a well fitting and clean install? Thanks.

well im about to do this to and one idea that i had besides double sided tape was drilling holes thru the molding and into the body, and then putting sheet metal screwes in there and bondo over the end of the screw so that you counldnt see it was there, and it would be much stronger than tape.

Also, thanks to Von for most of the body panels.

i have an exact opposite question since you guys already have experience...what is the easiest/best way to remove s5 mouldings? so that would be acceptable and usable to a buyer? im starting to run into them at the yards but im not just gonna rip em off of the car!!

thanks

just get a big skrew driver and make sure you be careful becuase the s5 moldings are held on by little clips about every 8 inches...so yeah and use the tape... dont skrew them in... it most likely wont be stronger becuase the s5 moldings are hollow plastic and it would most likely just crack it or something

So just push the clip out with the screw driver correct?

yeah clip them off... dont worry if you snap that clips they break easily. All you have to worry about is not damaging the moldings.

if n e one got a set pm me.
