Installing fuel injectors
The car is a 1986 RX7 base model (non turbo). Mods limited to streetport, performance intake and exhaust, some cosmetics.
I just had the injectors cleaned (RC Fuel Injectors, Torrance, CA). The injectors work great (idle is smoother, seems like there might be a bit more power, and the 3800 rpm hesitation is 90% gone). But, I am having trouble with leaks at the top o ring on the injector. Pulling them out, I found damage to the periphery of the o ring. Reinstalled with new o rings, and oiled them with 10W30; pulled back out to see, and there still is damage to the outer edge of the ring, though much less than before.
What do the pros here think: am I not using enough oil? Should I be using a different lube? Do I need to lube the interior of the socket in the fuel rail as well as the o ring itself? Something else?
Tell me what you think...

I just installed my injectors like a billion times in a row (I was trying to troubleshoot a leak which was eventually found to be in the side of the injector). And just using a bunch of motor oil all round the time of the injector and turning it back and forth while installing worked well for me.
you also want to make sure the o-ring is the same size as the original (11mm). a smaller o-ring will fit, but might cause leaks.

Installed the offending injectors today, new OEM o -rings, more oil this time, on the o ring and on the interior of the socket in the fuel raid. Gave them a little wrist action as they went in.
Static test (jumpered fuel pump test connector); no leaks found.
Initial driving test, including multiple full throttle accelerations to redline. No leaks so far.
