I'm having a hard time finding a muffler shop that can make a custom down pipe for my convertable 13B T swap, so I decided to buy a down pipe.
But before I do buy one I would like to know what modifications are needed in order to fit a down pipe with the front crossmember in place?
Or will the down pipe fit with touching the front crossmeber at all. I tried searching new and old threads, but I could not find a thread similiar to my question.

Thank you for clarifying that, I will go ahead and order a TII down pipe today.
I did speak with Tanner at Racing Beat and he said some customers with the same swap said they did not have any clearance issues, and that some said they had to grind the crossmember a little.
Congrats on your project, convertable and turbo just seems so right, you can't go wrong.

Nice! In the future I plan on upgrading to that system.
Thanks for the information. I'll be prepared to possibly do that too then.

If it's a Racing Beat DP, call RB and ask for Tanner, let him know that you were able to install your 3' dp in your vert with no clearence issues. He is looking for feed back, so he can pass it on to customers that ask him if their dp's will clear the front crossmemberr with no alterations. There may be a surprise gift for you, I received one

Have a 3" RE-Amemiya downpipe on my Turbo Vert, no issues... doesn't seem like there would be a lot of design variance in a pipe with a couple bends in it. JDM convertibles like mine came turbo so there shouldn't be fitment issues for stock turbo setups.
