Installed some neon lights for the inside
Went down to Autozone and bought me three blue neon lights for my car. they all run to a switch in the center console. May not do much but it sure does look pimp. Looks better with black lights but i'm accenting in blue sooooo. The hardest part was the switch. Just had to tell someone.

This forum has a bunch of pureists in it, I think Neons look sweet if done right. If you try to be different everyone here calls you a ricer what do you all want all of us to ride arround in old looking cars w/ all stock stuff on it?? These care are different if Mazda was to be like you all then the 7s would be a piston car but they are not, think different. I can't wait to see pics, peace.
P.s. Not everyone is a purest here just a lot of people.

You know, I don't mind neons too much.. As long as you don't go PSYCHO with em... 1 on each side, under the seat to shine by your legs is kinda fun... BUT!!!!
no more than 2, only people in car should be able to see em, AND DON'T LIST EM AS A MOD CUZ THEY AREN'T AND THEN YOUR A RICER..
Otherwise they fun =)

But yeah 2 neons under each dash side look very good, just pick a good matching color for the car

Rice!

RICE: A appearance modification, of questionable taste, that has nothing to do with improving the cars performance.
The question that usually comes to mind is:
"What was this guy thinking?"
IMHO Neon=rice

I made sure it wasn't ricer don't worry. I ended up just putting one on each side under the dash to illuminate your feet a little. They are out of sight and just give it a cool effect at night. I was also wondering if everyone has kept the same orange/red colr or the gauges and controls. And if not how did you change it and how much did it cost?

I didn't just plug them into the cigerette lighter either. I afro-engineered them, if you will, by connecting them to the power and groud of the cig lighter behind the cover. They all go to a switch. It was easy enough and in my point of view is not ricer. My lights are blue because my car is. But I am getting it painted a midnight blue color so it will still look good.

Is that in the dictonary??? define "questionable taste"... its different for everyone like i said Pureists. If your car can clow the right colors than it looks cool. It is a Mod just not a performance one. Anything done to the car that makes it not stock is a mod, bodykit, lights, etc. I think calling someone a "ricer" should be considered wrong, what makes you different from someone in a civic or integra?? both cars were made in the same place, we both seek to go faster, we also want our cars to look good... we are almost the same. When I get my car finished all the pureists in here will call it a rice car but when ur sitting there in a show and I have the awards for being UNIQUE then thats all that matters. If everyone does the same thing and noone goes off and does there own then the RX7 will just be another fast car. Its not your car, its not your choice, its his and when people here learn to appreciate that and respect what this person is doing then you will get respect back. If you want to get into "ricer" stuff then all of you that have gutted your cars.... Yes Cuvics, Integras, CRXs, and everyother honda car owner does that just to gain the little time, whic if your fast enough then the .10 should not matter unless your running 10.0 and want a 9.9.

First: I think you have the right to do anything you want to your car.
I support that right.
Second; calling something Rice does not have to be a negative thing.
Look at it like this; I like blondes, and you like brunettes, and I see you wirth a brunette and say 'brunettes again!!!'.
Well that means we don't like the same thing. Not that I'm saying you are "screwed up" or "wrong".
Yes RICE is often used derisively. Why? Because 'ricers' do things to their cars that often don't make sense to us or doesn't look appealing to us. I still realize that it is your car, and you have to make yourself happy. However, don't expect me to pretend to like something that seems silly to me.
My ricer defintion was meant as a 'tongue in cheek' joke.
Peace!!

Yeah, It is your car, and you can do anything you want to it. BUT down here in austin the only thing you see neons on are the undersides of trucks(I'm leaving it at that).
I am a 100% pureist. You can look good all you want, All I care about is running 9's

I got neaons
I got neons in my T2. I have a custom paint job with blue pearl in it, so i got two 8 inch blue beams mounted above the little hook behind the seat. to add an affect to my car. ive got two silver clarion subs and a silver pani deck so it just makes the car look alot better and with the blue pearl, at night it looks phat. aint nothin wrong with neons, just if you have it looking welfare by using the original lighter imput, there hasto be a switch ! nuf said
