Installed old-school HKS cat-back onto my SS autochrome system
well I needed to get a ticket written off and my fiancee needed to get rid of her Apex N1s(too damn loud)....
the y pipe fit fine and everything bolted up without any problems...after I installed it I noticed the following.
1.SOOOO MUCH QUIETER even with the 3" piping from the turbo....
2. I still spool up to 10 psi
3. idle a lot higher
4. I have more vaccuum
just thought i'd post this to see if there are any issues you think I might encounter.....I plan on leaving it on for a week or two(until i finish my fiancee's GTUs and get it registered and insured) and it might experience some high RPMs and boost. The piping diameter is smaller on the HKS as compared to the 3" SSautochrome piping.
I assume it will be louder when I bolt up the HKS onto the RB headers and midpipes on her GTUs........right?
