Innovate LM-2 Install
So I recently pruchased a Innovate LM-2 Wideband system, I have got it working on with basic wideband monitoring but now I would like to expand it to include datalogging and as an output for Rtek ECU.
So heres what I have done...
Heres a picture of the basic wiring diagram for S4 TII RX-7
I Believed that the Y/L wire on ECU Plug input would be suitable for RPM input on LM-2. I have it hooked up so that...
The Black/White wire coming from Innovate LM-2 T's into wire Y/L at ECU plug.
The BLUE wire is grounded.
If anyone out there has a better understanding of how to wire the Innovate LM-2 to recieve RPM signal I would greatly appreciate the help!
The second item I am having difficulty with wiring in is the analog output from LM-2
I Have it wired right now so that...
The LIME GREEN from LM-2 wire is attached to the VAR RES wire at ECU plug.
The YELLOW wire from LM-2 is grounded
VAR RES Input
.
If anyone can help me with these wiring troubles I would be GREATLY appreciative as I really want to just button up this car!!

I've hooked up the LC-1 with a Power FC for datalogging, the LM-2 was just released recently.
1. You don't need the RPM input at all. That is only if you are logging through the Innovate Logworks software. You are logging through the Rtek, so don't worry about those wires.
2. Do you have an extra ground on your engine harness down near the Rtek? Run the yellow wire there, it reduces the chance of electrical noise.

Will I be able to log the wideband AFR with Rtek accurately enough via use of VAR RES input? I dont know what sort of refresh rates that sensor input has. That was one of the reasons that and the fact i will have the LM-2 mounted in sight at all time whereas palm and tuning will only be used when necessary, and the tach in numbers as well as oem guageface can be quite usefull information when tuning.
If I can make this work it would just be a little more clean in the cabin while maintaining functionality.

first, please be patient, you will not always get a response within two hours.
Anyway, NJGreenBudd uses an NGK wideband wired through his Rtek and seems happy with the sample rate. The advantage of reading it through the Rtek is that you can see multiple types of engine data on the same screen, all sampled at essentially the same time. So you can see exactly what your ignition timing was when your AFR was 11:1 for example. With two different systems you are constantly looking back and forth between the two, trying to match them up. It's a pain, and it's not as accurate.

Just a couple of jpg attached to complement the TOPLESS mans post. Try 1X for a rpm signal.
I know nothing about Innovative.
OR you could use that Y/L wire for rpm and press and release the clutch in sync with the tach to send out a rpm signal using the cluch input wire. humor

Thank you!!! Sorry for my inability to read wiring diagram correctly :s. I have the palm/rtek pick up signal on VR analog channel, now it's just a matter of setting up parameters to turn it into readable data and not just a voltage lol.
