Injector Problem
I was smelling a fuel odor and decided it was time to put in new seals and grommets.
In the process I notice a crack in the green plastic end of the injector. Is this the source of my fuel odor? Will I have to replace the injector? Any help would be appreciated.

That was the answer I was wanting to hear. Though that is good news now I have to figure out what was causing the odor. Hopefully changing out the seals will eliminate the smell. Thanks!

You could run without the caps, but why risk it? I just ordered new ones from Atkins Rotary. They're called pintel caps. Everything you will need for caps, rings, and grommets you can find here:

Well I would like to order the new pintel cap, but I have to have the car running by friday. I just finished installing them with new gromets and orings. I am going to monitor them to make sure they are ok. I will probably order them though and plan on changing them in a few weeks. I have to race saturday. If you say that its not a big deal then I will run with the cracked one on there. If anybody else has input let me know. Thanks for the help so far and I am going to take into account not to chance it. If I smell fuel I am not going to run.

Without the pintel caps, the injector won't fit properly into the stock air bleeds and stock sized grommets will not fit.
Most injection shops will have pintel caps in stock. Check the Yellow Pages.
