injector plug rewire

Question injector plug rewire

my injector plugs are shot how do i rewire them with a new plug? does it matter witch wire goes on witch side?

just buy new plugs with pig tails. just do one wire at a time to be safe.. but it doesnt matter if you switch wires from the same injector

ok so theres not like a possitive and neg right the factory wires can go into either wire on the pigtail

Technically speaking, yes. But I always kept them on the same side (pos and neg) for linearity.

ok so i finally found a plug but its from a differnt car and the wires are alot thinner then the ones on my engine harness and old plug does that matter? can i still use it?

i know but pep boys auto zone and advanced auto didnt have them.so does wire thickness matter???

You can order them new from basically anywhere, but most of the people that work at parts places are idiots and have no idea what you are talking about. I walked into the o'reilly's and asked if they carried universal bosch-style injector plugs. He asked what kind of car it was for, and I said '87 RX-7, but its a universal part. He proceeded to look it up on the parts list and tell me they didn't have it listed. I gave up and went back home to look up the part number.
I can't find the box right now since my garage is a god-aweful mess and I can't even get to half of it. I'll post the part number when I find it.
