Injector Cycle Meter

Injector Cycle Meter
I noticed that you most you guys are using digital AFR meters, I have a HAL meter with injector cycle meter connected to the secondary injectors. I build this car in '96 when the HAL was the best meter out there, maybe not the best but good.
They've come a long way since then but how about inj. cycle?? The really good thing about the HAL is that you don't even have to look at it, you can tell when the top or bottom LED goes yellow or red. My question is, is there's anything better? I really wouldn't like to have to look at a screen to look at inj cycle. Maybe the HAL still hold it own? What you guys think.
BTW....broke the diff mount base on the strip five years ago and it's been in deep sleep storage ever since, but since I found this forum last week and thanks to all you rotorheads talking on and on, so many new cool stuff, the videos, the turbo whislting, it just got the fire going again, I just have to do it........it's time to awaken the Wankel...

I built and installed this DIY digital duty cycle meter:

It has much better resolution compared to one like yours (1% instead of 10%) but it's harder to read as the numbers climb very fast under load.
I'm reading one of the primary injectors so that I can see if their duty cycle gets too high before the secondaries come in. After 3800rpm both have the same duty cycle.

I haven't seen any other meter that would make me change mine. Even though new ones are more accurate if I'm on the strip or autoxss I'm not going to be staring at a small digital screen, I would still be able to catch if something is going wrong out of the corner of my eye as soon as one of the LED's goes yellow.

Injector duty cycle meters are not really their as a warning in case something goes wrong. If your car develops a problem the IDC is not going to suddenly go up (except maybe if the wastegate hose pops off). They're more useful as an aid to tuning and modifying. As you add mods you can see the effect it's having and tell if and when you need to upgrade injectors. Long, straight, empty uphill roads (or a dyno) in 3rd or 4th gear are the best place to find out how high you can get to.
