Injector Comparison Picture

got some massive 1900cc secondaries on my FC today.
The guy had an injector flow machine, and he ran a 13BT injector, a 12AT injector, and one of his monster 1900cc injectors, for a few seconds (can't recall how long the injectors were run for exactly, wasn't long tho)

Check out the flow difference! how ******* MASSIVE is the difference between the 12AT/13BT and the aftermarket monster

Left: 1900cc "BigBlue" injector
Middle: much vaunted 12AT injector
Right: Stock 13BT injector

why anyone would bother buying 12AT injectors given their price is beyong me. they're little better than stock 13BT's!

Tuning the car was a ****, the transition from stock primary to huge secondary was going danerously lean, despite everything we tried (running a Microtech MT8 ECU)
Usually, the transition is at about 3000rpm, and the cheap-fix we had to settle on was to lower the staging threshold to 1400rpm, so the primaries do little more now than aid my FC in overcoming inertia, then the 1900cc secondaries take over. Basically "bypassing the primaries" i suppose u could call that.

The transition is a pig, all my fuel screens are maxed out and the car is running like a pig..
"i have a vision, coming clear in my mind..a vision of me having ALOT of ******* trouble tuning my car to run smoothly again.."
at least i won't have to ever worry about reaching 100% duty at WOT again!

Has anyone else had problems with staging their larger secondaries in their FC's? What solutions did you arrive at?

I can't afford a Haltech or Motech etc. I am stuck with the MT8.

Any thoughts/advice appreciated!!!!
I am trying to safely tune my car for 300+rwHP, and all my efforts seem to be going awry

13BT fuel injectors are 550cc/min
12AT fuel injectors are 720cc/min
Your MASSIVE fuel injectors at 1900cc/min are like 3 times more flow!

I just thought if i could get larger capacity injectors for the same price, or less, then it would make no sense NOT to.

i had no idea that the ability of these larger injectors to deliver fuel would be so (as it seems thus far) coarse & untuneable.

I don't understand, i mean, if the ECU is telling the injectors to deliver "x" amount of fuel, then why can't they just *deliver* that amount of fuel...
why is the outright capacity of these things proving to be an inherent problem...
or am i overreacting?

HELP QUESTION Is my car tuneable with stock primaries and such massive secondaries? Or is the transition point always going to be an ugly incident that neither ECU, Engine, or Driver are happy about?

Thanks for any help/advice from those who have walked this path b4,
i'm just worried that i've totally fucked the driveability of my car with these things ~ $220US to go backwards...
