Talking Initial impressions of JIC magic 3 1/2" exhaust and suspension! Pics

I bought some JIC goods from Rishie (ARDT2 on this forum) and was very impressed w/ the quality and as always Rishie's amazing prices- so low he can't even advertise them. Get your quote today!
enough talk, here is some pics
First, JIC SPEC 90 exhaust. This is the catback w/ 90mm stainless steel piping (bigger than 3 1/2 inches!). Rishie didn't have the 90mm downpipe in stock so I gotta wait on that.

This is a close up of the adapter. Talk about quality; JIC made this system so you can bolt it up to stock size catalytic or bolt up a complete 90mm system w/ out having to cut up the exhaust.
For size referance the small end is 2.5" pipe and the large end the 90mm pipe of the rest of the system!

Here it is laid out full length. The large piping makes the catback look short to me.

Mmmmm... Shiny!

Looks like very good quality stuff, should make a difference. I assume you're replacing a standard exhaust with this stuff. In which case you should get a nice power increase out of it.

For another size comparison I get "porno" style on it...

Well, S2-13B it is just to look at and fondle for now. I will break in my new set-up on RB 2.5" downpipe/presilencer stock catback.
Let's check out the suspension now.
Here is a shot of the JIC FLT-A2s. These are mega quality. 17 pts of adjustment for the shock/strut and fully rebuildable. Check out how the lower mount is threaded onto the shock body w/ its own jam collar. You can preload the spring w/ the normal two spring perch collars and then adjust ride height seperately by loosening the lower mount jam collar and twisting the whole body. This should come in handy for corner weighing and such and will completely eliminate the incessant rattling that lesser coilovers have when the spring sags and is unseated. Check out the wheels/suspension section of the forum for the performance reviews. As stiff as '93 R1 at the softest of 17 settings? Not a date car anymore...

Here is the strut bars. The rear is the round tube of CF- very stiff and light. The front CF is only available as CF molded around an aluminum extrusion. I guess the shape isn't conducive to using CF stock. Front is a little heavier and only marginally stiffer than aluminum strut tower bar, but looks pretty! I will see about making my own front CF bar once engine and all is in car (fitment issues w/ my bastard set-up...)

Close-up of the bar ends. I was glad JIC used the same paint for the end plates that I use on all my own fabricated aluminum pieces.

OK, last pic for now. This is me getting shot down when I cruised up in my FC and asked this cute Chinese restaraunt delivery girl for a date. I guess she heard about how abusive I was w/ the exhaust and was scared. Maybe her answer will change when I get all these cool JIC goods on the car.

www.jic-magic.com for the US site, www.jic-magic.co.jp for the Japanese site. JIC is an aftermarket manufacturer like Greddy, HKS and Apex'i, but as they are not yet established in US their prices seem a bit lower for the level of quality. Rishie seems to like to help eveyone on the forum get a really good price, so check w/ him for the real price.

Those parts look absolutely beautiful!! They make good use of titanium which (IMO)is a material that hasnt really been fully utilized by the aftermarket yet. I met a guy at a car show recently that had a JIC Suspension on a 300Z and when I pushed down on the fenders it was like the suspension consisted of cement parts! Those Catback pics blow my mind!! I own speedshop and now feel like I really need to do what it takes to get a distributer of those parts. What did you pay for those parts? Or at least what is the typical retail? Are they atleast somewhat affordable? I would be shocked if that catback cost less that 700$ or the Susp less than 900$. PLEASE fill me in!!

A quote from JIC as it appears on the box for the SPEC 90 system. Warning, this English was never intended for English speakers' consumption

Bullet exhaust
Listen! don't you think this muffler called "Bullet" is "Moroshibu"?
The name is great, isn't it?
The shape and sound is "Sugge" Spartan.
Why don't you buy it?
Oh! I'm going to forget to tell you that the muffler can power up the car, too.

Well, there is a budding distribution system in US. If you do an internet search you will find sites selling the stuff. US company site is down again it seems :-( If you check the retail prices on the Japanese site and use the ~128 Yen to dollar you can get a fair estimate of retail price. Most places will then gouge you on the shipping and add it to full retail price. Don't play their game; I have already mentioned who your JIC hook-up should be.
You always pay for quality, but this is top quality goods at average Japanese consumer grade prices (not that average Japanese consumer grade is bad, say compared to US consumer grade products...)

RexRider, you would have no problem finding JIC in the Bay Area. That is where Rishie is, he shipped the stuff up to me in the sticks. Nothing but truck, mustangs and camaros up here. I've had the Volk TE-37s on my TII that Rishie sold me for like 6 months now and no one has ever given me a compliment...

When you buy full coilovers like this, do they come with the pillow ball mounts? Because it kinda looks like they do to me ...

FLT-A2 is the top of the line JIC and there are many levels on suspension below it. Japanese retail converts to $1445 for the model w/ rear pillow ball upper mounts. A distributor must be very careful not to-accidentally
-sell for less than retail price as it devalues the companies product and he will get his *** chewed for it. So, get your quote today- and smile:-)
