Im coming down to chicago next week to pick of a 240sx for my friend. I would be happy to come down and look at it. I can tell you what all you will need to have done. Ive never swapped a cosmo engine, but I swapped my 13b and it was cake. Yours is gonna take some effort though.

Allright that would be great because I am calling places around me that do engine swaps but I cannot describe what needs to be done for an estimate. Also, any idea on estimated HP for this motor?

IS THERE ANYONE IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA WILLING TO DO THIS ENGINE SWAP FOR ME. The car is originally a non-turbo. New engine is in the car and I need it "hooked up" I guess would be the term? Will pay up to $1000 assuming you know your stuff. Past owner of the car said it would take 2 days for someone who knows rx7's so 2 days for 1000 bucks aint bad. Someone help please!

I bet it's a standard J-spec 13BT w/ a front mount. I seriously doubt u'd have a REW or an RE in that car from a previous owner NOT fully installed, especially if it was an NA originally. standard swap to a turbo motor, exhaust and FMIC (better get a fuel cut defenser and a fuel pump) and you're staring at a 250 hp car. someone help this guy out, make some $$

-GTEclipse8: maybe some pics of what the engine bay looks like will help people get the idea of much work needs to be done...could be 2 hours, could be 2 days. borrow a digi camera from a friend if you don't have one and take pics wherever the car may be.
