Im so frustrated with my car
Ok i got my new alternator from Silverrotor wich looks excellent. I installed everything and borrowed a ast(or whatever the thing under the radiator cap is called) Broke 2 screws got one out so i just put one brand new one in. So i rig everything up and stuff. Turn the car one VROOOOOOOOM plut plut plut die.........WTF??? i look and it smells like coolent im like no big deal i spilt a lot of it and it probally just burning it off the engine bay. So i open the hood my dad looks at it start it back up VROOOOM plut plut plut gas......i hold the gas at 1k my dad said he hears a vac leak. So i shut it down and looked at my "AST" and see that its kinda spewing coolant and i look behind me kinda dark and i see a haze of smoke leave. Im like mmm wtf......So i think the "AST" is causing the vac leak and il be fixing that tomorrow but do you think i might of blown a coolent seal?? I hope to God not im such a poor high schools tudent and wouldnt have the money nor the time to do it...

I think AST's are something that FDs have. Are you maybe thinking of the coolant overflow bottle? Spewing coolant out of the filler neck is a sign of blown coolant seals. Anybody wanna confirm what I said?
