ignition on a t2 swap

I'm getting ready to do a t2 swap on my 87 n/a I have all the stuff listed out that I need it going to be about a 8 month or so process. I was going over the list with a friend and he says im going to need a new ignition and I told him I could just run the n/a he disagrees and says if im going to be spending all this money why not do it right so I don't have uneven spark. I know absolutly nothign about ignitions so any advice would be most appreciated. Also if I do need a new ignition set up, names/prices would also be appreciated.

The major ignition parts are the same, the TII ecu changes the advance/retard, which is the critical part.
