Ignition Switch Bad??

I have a '91 vert. After a short ride the other day, I stopped and turned off the switch and removed the key...the engine kept running. All the other electrical shut down...help?

If you haven't worked on the car recently from an electrical standpoint then take a look at the alternator and make sure the wires connected to it such as the White/Black and White/Blue wires are not grounded. Also, check the two wire connector at the Main Relay and if you could recreate your problem where the key was turned to off and removed, and the car continued to run then disconnect this two wire connector from the relay and see if this causes the car to turn off. If it does turn off then measure for voltage on the Black/White wire in the two wire connector and see if there is battery voltage or not w/no key. Normally, the B/W wire would not have voltage w/key to off but this might be part in parcel to your problem.
