Stock coils are pretty stout already, so very little gains can be had for those with mild upgrades (up to 400hp).
A CDI box does wake up the ignition if you haven't already installed one.
Keep in mind that others will argue a CDI box does very little for performance.
My experience had been positive so far.
More boost can require colder spark plugs.
The downside for cooler heat range spark plugs is the possibility of fouling if you're doing a lot of daily driving.
An alternative is expensive Iridium spark plugs - i.e. Denso.
At $30 a pop, it's a pretty expensive option for most people.
As for spark plug wires, a good set of spark plug wires is good enough.
Try to ignore those gimmicky spark plug wires that tout "more power" - it's simply not possible.
When you start to push up to the 500hp level, it's a whole nother ballgame...

I've got a set of the Densos for the track and such when I'm boosting more. As for my daily driving I've got it set low, I don't push it much and I keep the typical stock plugs in there. Works fine for me since I don't have Power Steering. Changing plugs only takes a few minutes,
