idle problems?
Hey, Im having some problems with my 86 S4 infini, when I stall the car it doesn't want to start straight away.. I have to wait a minute or so to start the car, what could be the problem?? (im thinking its the fuel regulator?)
Also my car idles at around 800-900rpms is that right?

you shouldn't be stalling your car is what's wrong. yeah 750 rpm is where ur idle should be when the engine is nice and warm. my guess is you need to learn how to drive stick better.

Well I just got the car about a week ago, haven't driven stick for about a year and a half so I was a bit rusty at first, its all good now though.
Anyway when im downshifting the rpms go all the way down close to zero (all the accessory lights.. light up also) and on a few occasions the engine just cuts out.. this is all when the car is all warmed up.

Have you by any chance gotten around to performing the "full 60k mile tuneup" as listed in the FC faq? if not, that's what I strongly suggest. I had almost the same problem until I hooked up the tuneup.

edit: forgot to mention, I also replaced all the vacuum hoses, IAC valve, and TPS. <-- that might have had more to do with it than the 60k tuneup but
