Idle problem =P

I have an 89 Turbo. Only mod to the car is street port. My issue is this, when I start my car on a really cold day it starts up fine but dies if I don't give it gas for a little bit. Then the car will run at about 600-700 until it gets warm. Now when warm the idle is 1100-1400 as it gets warmer. I can get the idle to go down if I put it in gear and force the idle under 1k and then the car will idle like normal 750-850.

thermowax rod extends and I have tried adjusting the screw and the car won't idle like it is supposed to when cold. Anyone have idea's on what could be the issue/s? There is no other problems with the car it's just annoying ><.

if you have 'two' idles like you described - it is vac leak.
it has to do with the vaccum advancing, and the ecu giving fuel

check for leaks and try it again!
