to autocrash: Yes, I am sorry. I am not an English major. I am an Automotive Mechanical Engineer major. I should have made the destinction. I am also sorry that I use the term "college" and "university" fairly freely. Yes I go to a University. Pennsylvania State University to be exact. I hope that makes you happier. And thank you, I have won scholarships for essays that I wrote. Oh yeah, I never had any spelling or gramatical errors in them when my teachers read them.
And to everyone else that thought that it was so wrong to have an opinion, or at least to express mine: I will make sure to tell Student Government that opinions are stupid and we shouldn't allow them during our next meeting.

My post wasn't childish it was blunt. You either accidentally hit cap locks, or you were screaming throughout most of the post. Then you go as far as to say that your post had enough impact on people that they feel dumb after reading it? I would also like to state that by gay, I didn't mean homosexual. Example... This thread is gay.

Every where I go I see these "Purist" vs "Hybrid" wars, the Z clubs the toyota clubs and now this club. People if you love your car that's great, nothing wrong with that. Ihave been building hybrids for years and will continue to do so for many more. People have been doing this for as long as there have been hotrods. I currently have a 73 Celica w/ a360 dodge that runs 12.20s with an open diff and the engine has NO internal mods just a 4bbl and headrers. I have less than 1200$ total wrapped up in this car, how many rx7s can say that? Point is You build what you like because you like it not because the masses tell you to. I can't wait to find a fc body to stick my new 388ci TPI engine into, I will be hunting Vets& Vipers every chance I get And doing so with the knowledge that if I should break down in BF Nowhere on a saturday afternoon, It won't take 2 weeks to get the parts I need.

There was a guy at the drag strip here in orlando with an old celica powered by a 360 dodge. Not sure what it ran though.

Steiner... not to be a *****... but claiming to be an Automotive Mechanical Engineer at PSU is kind of gay. First of all, I'm assuming you're a freshman by your age. That means that even if you had hopes of being an "Automotive Mechanical Engineer", you still aren't in the curiculum. PSU freshman are in "The college of Engineering", not a major. Second, if you're majoring in Autmotive Mechanical Engineering, you're being ripped off, cause Penn State offers no such major. Maybe you're majoring in Mechanical Engineering, but that means jack **** towards automotive, since most of it is not automotive related.

Edit:
Also I believe East Halls (meaning you ARE a freshman) is the second biggest in the world, but first in the country. Not positive on that, so I won't hold that against you. Hopefully you're not representing them though, cause that would be a disgrace to the rest of the East Halls residents. If you ARE on the student government, and not just the EHRA, then I'd suggest holding off on the opinions comment until you realize what a skewed image of the world you have.

Bogus File, if it was a brown Celica that was me, I was down there when I lived in GA looking for a guy named Scotty that has a GN powered 240Z, car is supposed to run 10's. I never found him but did meet a lot of cool people and even raced one guy with a FD turbo. Beat him in the last 100 feet of the track (damned single track rearend) but man that thing was like a rocket at take off.

Yeah I remember you... I came up and talked to you a little bit. I remember thinking you had a ford nine inch... that little toyota rear looks stout. I don't think I had my car there with me that night. Well its a small world isn't it. Anyways good luck finding a good donor car.

No, you're the who posted about it, "I think I'm going to be sick" is a sure enough reason to doubt that "it's a bad idea".

Well, we kinda get these posts almost everyday it seems.. If you really search before you post, you can bring up other threads that relate to this type of "I'm going to be sick because he put a v8 in an rx7" yadda dadda...

And to everyone else that thought that it was so wrong to have an opinion, or at least to express mine: I will make sure to tell Student Government that opinions are stupid and we shouldn't allow them during our next meeting.

Bogus File, I think RXTony in NC has found a donor car for me, no drivetrain so it's a perfect candidate. I was planning to keep the Celica and just dragrace it but the 6cyl in my truck died tonight and I think the 360 will get donated to the truck, besides now I will have enough engine to pull the FC when I take it to various Race tracks and I won't have to listen to the wife complain about the ac having to be turned off while I drive through the mountains. I may go ahead and put a 9" in the Celica and build a really badass 360 for it after I get the FC built. It's nice to see that everyone doesn't subscribe to the purist theory of these cars. I can understand your love for the rotary engine, I had a 13b FI motor in my 77 Datsun Kingcab and it was a blast to drive, however it seemed like everytime I needed new parts they had to be ordered, and I'm not that damned patient. Christi, where do you stay around ATL, my wife is still in N.GA until she sells our house. It would be cool if I could get you and Holly together with your cars and maybe you could get her to sell the Camry and buy a 7.
