Talking I ran the quarter again/Give me your opinion

Hi guys took my 86 NA 7 down to the quarter mile today for the third time = previously I have had pretty **** times, best was 15.9 - but i had a feeling she could do better!!!

today was much better -

Best 1/4 run was 15.535 at 89.15mph

I ran my best 60FT too - 2.297!!

While I was very happy with my ET - I was especially pleased with my 60FT - the best till today I could muster was 2.5.

My car runs a stock open diff and the slippery/shittiest tyres out.

What was of interest is I found my best Et times and 60FT came from launching at a lowly 2500RPM...

Previously I had stripped the maz out interior wise - today I couldn't be bothered and ran full interior 2+2..

90mph seems to be the quickest Trap Speed it can do - which leads me to think thats about as quick as I will go ET wise with this near stock setup.

Bridgeported 4port end plates and RB Holley 650 on the way!!

Hello 14s!!

13b2quickny do you drive ur bridgeported engine on the street or do u only take it to the track? I was wondering whether a bridgeport would be able to be used as a daily driver or if it would be too loud or idle challenged.

I have previously owned a BP 13b rx4 - I wouldn't recommend it as a daily driver, you would have huge! fuel bills, and the pulsin idle is a bit of a nitemare in rush hour traffic.

But as a weekender/stip runner its perfect - you pull up at lights an people just stare - they dont understand the idle, messes with their heads...

i used to drive it everyday.. then i got a 91 na and started using that.. but mines is half bridge and its not that bad... its not recommended for street use.. but ive seen lots of daily drivers.. a lot of people give bridge engines bad reps...my idle is between 1000-1200 gas economy is around 15 miles a gallon if i really get it on..the power is incredible... specially from 5000-9500 rpm... anywayz guys i just came back from hot import nights here in orlando...... so many women so many cars...... ahh

Thats a damn good 60' time. My best in my n/a is a 2.38 and i was really happy with that. Last time I went drag racing I beat a TII with that was mildly modded but it was one of the guys first times drag racing.

Mid-16's, especially with that auto tranny and heavy leather interior.

BTW: Drag-racing is boring! Autocrossing is where it's at.
