I need a volunteer with S5 NA....
to please check the resistance on thier TPS full range, and tell me what the resistance does on the way from idle position to full-throttle position, and then on the way back down. Please do this slowly and let me know, I'll be checking back tommorrow. Mine goes from .45k ohms to like 5.9k ohms but in between on the way up reaches 7.5k ohms before dropping back down at full throttle. Then on the way back down it stays pretty much linear. My car is giving me a code 12 for full range TPS. The CPU appears to be in decent shape, there is continuity between the plug for the TPS to the CPU, but I don't know where to go from here without a reference point. Please help me out!

i believe idle should be like .8ohms to 1.2ohms, and full range is like 4.5-6.0ohms...im not exactly sure on the full range. On FC3s.org there is a FSM, look up fuel and emissions (i believe), and look for throttle sensor, it has the values.

The FSM says it should be like 1k ohm to 5.5k ohm, which is what I tested it by. Mine is too low at idle position and too high at WOT. What I really would like to know is if it reads higher than 5.5 and then drops again before WOT while the throttle is increased from idle. I'm guessing the TPS is my problem because on the way to open throttle it goes up above 7k ohms and then drops a little, but on the way back to idle it reads 5.9 decreasing to .45 without seeming to freak out at 7k + . Basically I'm looking for a working TPS to compare these events. Anyone have that info for me?
