I appreciate your offer, and if I could know for a fact that yours was in completely good and reliable shape, I'd most like ly take you up on it... but replacing a transmission is not something to take likely or go cheap on. That's why I'm paying more than I originally planned on for this other guy's tranny with 49K miles that he says is in perfect shape, and shipping would be from South Carolina to Oregon, and I'm not complaining about it.
But to everyone else who's offered me their tranny so far, don't give up until I post on here that I've finally made a deal with someone and bought theirs. I really appreciate you guys all coming to my rescue with your various offers. But since only one of those offers will end up getting accepted, I'm naturally going to go for the best one, and so far this tranny is has less than half the miles than anyone else's so far.

For $4000 I could get a whole new RX-7. I have no need for a super-duper engineered tranny that's really only necessary for racing applications. Being fully sequential and clutchless doesn't motivate me to blow my whole life saving plus going into debt. I just need to get from point A to point B reliably. Sure I want the best, but only within what I can reasonably afford. I'm not filthy stinking rich. I'll be perfectly happy to have a normal 5 speed with 49,000 miles that's in perfect condition otherwise, shipped from across the country, for about $300. That's the deal I'm working on right now.
