Question I just bought my RX-7 86 non turbo need help

Hey yeah well yesterday i was working on my car changing some parts, and i put my engine back together and all, but when i started my car, my RPM gauge will go up. So when i start my car, my engine would idle on it's own or more like, the gas pedle would go down itself. It rev's up to 4500 rpm and stays there. Do any of you RX 7 people might know what the problem is? I could really use the help, and THANKS.

88 GXL N/A Automatic:

I haven't done anything to my car, but starting last month when it's really crappy weather out, when I start it, it'll rev to 2k like normal, but it will then hold there and just climb very slowly to 3k. If I tap the gas it drops to 1.5k. It also sounds like a huge blower, unlike when it normally revs to 2k+.

Also, when braking right after starting (I don't let my car idle long enough in the morning) it'll pulse up and cause me to lurch forward a bit.
