I have never been so mad in my life...
I just got into my first accident and it was all because of rotary motors. I was driving my 87 GXL which is in mint condition exterior wise home from a friends where i was attempting to adjust the tps but i couldnt figure out how to get a reading from it because im a ******* idiot. anyways so my car is still bucking like wild and out of control it bucks so hard that the car swerves. so im making a right onto my block and its raining a little so im going probably like 10mph when i let out the clutch im in 2nd and revving only to like 3000rpm i let it out slowly normally and the car bucks so hard that the wheels spin and i loose control and hit a tree. my car was stuck there for a while and wouldnt start. i had to break the steering lock to push the car home and my steering was making a real loud click and **** im just so ******* pissed. im going to get fired from work because this was my transportation there. **** i need a new bumper and fender im so ******* pissed im going to kill my self.

The guy is ticked off, and you all are talking about how it's his fault.
It shouldn't matter. He's still in a position where he's screwed and pissed off. What he should be hearing is... "Hey, I've got a bumper I'll sell for cheap" or "As long as you didn't get hurt, then don't worry about it." Hell even "Now you can buy a TII or an FD" might be appropriate.
But I'm not an expert at mechanical problems so I can't even pretend to know what would cause his problem. If I did, I would have selected one of the above phrases and coupled it with "Oh, that sound like a (insert diagnosis)"

Sympathy isn't what's needed here, the guy needs a reality check. Yes, it sucks he smashed his car, but maybe now he'll realise he shouldn' be driving a car that doesn't have brakes. If he wants to be ignorant and claim it to be b/c of the type of motor, so be it, glad to have him off the road for a while, but in the end he can't deny the facts: He drove an unsafe car, and he drove himself into a tree because he spun out from dropping the clutch.
This guy doesn't needed a pat on the back; he needs a smack on the back of the head. It's his fault and only his fault he crashed... he should take responsibilty for his own actions.
But I think he would be pretty quick to own up he was responsible for winning a race...
