i get my stainless exhaust on tomorrow. but I need help with this

They will not put on my rb header and per silencer. as I feared. so I need to put on the header and pre-silencer myself tonight. Some one before me replaced the cat with a universal weld in model. so I need to know the best and easiest way to remove the old stuff. I am not going to cut with a hack saw. that sux.
any help will be very appreciated.
thanks

Just remove the header, precats, and main cat in one unit. Unbolt the 2 15mm (if I remember right) bolts from the cat back, then the 4 that hold on the manifold. Good luck!! And be forewarned....Thise stock bolts are HARD AS HELL to get off. I broke a socket wrench tryin to get em off the first time!! Your arms will hurt tomorrow morning. It took me about 2 hours of hard wrenching to get em all off.

Wait and do the whole exhaust at the same time. You will save a gasket and some trouble. Just separate the pre-cat from the stock manifold and unhook the rest of the exhaust from its hangers. Then just shimmy the damn thing out of there. Now go to work on the stock manifold. Getting the heat shield off is the real pain in the ***. It has I think two small nuts on top of it that can only be reached with some patients. Then once you've got the whole thing removed; put the new header on with the gasket. Then hang your cat-back and then slide in the presilencer last. I found this to be the easiest way due to the presilencers studs and the limitations of the hangers. Tighten up all the bolts just a lil then go back over them all to get them tight. Don't tighten them up randomly or you might not get a good seal somewhere.

okay. all the cats were removed and a single "CATCO" brand cat was put in its place. it was welded. I did get the manifold off. I just left the pipe hanging for now.

Now I want to remove the sleves that are in the ports. I cant't get them to budge. what do I need to do?

The sleeves have to be removed from the inside.

That's true. You'll probably need two new intake gaskets. Take off the upper, then lower, intake manifolds, grab onto the sleeves' center thingy (wtf would you call that? pillar? oh well) with a pair of needlenose pliers, twist and pull out. Clean off the old gasket material, and reinstall the intake manifolds with new gaskets.
You'll need two gaskets, Upper and lower. I've heard putting some silicone grease on them will prevent the inevitable scraping of the old gaskets that usually goes with having the intakes off (for next time).
