Yes an ignition switch can cause it....I had a buick in the shop just last week that would die after 15 or 20 mins of driving....the switch had a burned spot that you could easily see where the wires entered the switch..... a good sign of high electrical resistance and reduced available voltage.....so you might want to remove your steering column covers and look for any brownish discoloration on the wires at the back of your ignition switch.

im thinking really shady wiring hahaha...
fuel would ahve sputtered and slowly killed and went back on and off... wiring could cut off power to alot of things.

dammit well check it out i got a new throttle body and i cleaned and adjusted the fast idle cam and its idleing fine man 500-750 sometimes surging but yea man i still get that lates
