i first off just put a cone filter on the end of the stock tube and maf. i put a small breather on the air pump. today i did a full tube and ran a nipple for the air pump like what was done on the stock air box. now i have a little bit of throttle hang. i can rev it up and it sits at like 2.5 k's for a second and drops. i belive this is caused by vaccum correct?. is there a way to elimnate this???

All you need is the filter on the intake tube of the air pump.. yeah, its noisey, but you don't need to plum it into the filter assembly....
i doubt its being cause by vaccume. but by plumbing the pump into the filter, you could be messing with the MAF.

I'm a little slow on the uptake.......are you saying you connected the outlet of the airpump into the airfilter instead of the outlet of the airpump going to its stock place, the acv??????
I kinda remember a very long thread about a year or two ago dealing with this subject. That's if what described above is what you did.

Hailers.
What i orignally did (thanks to yearsofdecay) i wasnt thinking and i put the air pump inlet that normally mounts to the air box( before the maf ) on the same intake tube with the other 2 main vaccum lines. it went like this filter-maf-airpump inlet-2 vaccum lines- tb
what i didnt realize that the air pump inlet is a vaccum. a vaccum that isnt recongized by the maf cuz its normally located before it .. i had it mounted after it. so the engine had a little more vaccum then its used to seeing. which is why i got the semi wacky idle and the idle hang. but i redid it . the car runs smooth now. nice power. and a fun little sat morning project

Is the air that's going to the airpump from the intake tube before or after the AFM? As far as I recall on the stock setup the airpump takes air from the filter BEFORE the AFM. If you are taking air AFTER the AFM then that would be taking away metered air from the engine, right? Does this make sense or am I off on this? Seems to me that taking away already metered air might cause this problem, my 2 cents, good luck.
EDIT
Argh... I should really finish reading the whole thread before responding, nvm seems you already figured this out. My bad
