Contact the guys at Gotham Racing and ask them to take a pic of the engine bay of the 90 Rx7 13BRE Convertible they have sitting there. Its waiting for a replacement turbo. I don't know if they can or not. But I will once I get it back to Houston.

I bought a 13BRE from Japan...it was beat up. 1st rebuild was done with FD housings, T2 rotors. Single Turbo. Everything else was 13BRE. Current rebuild has been done by Gotham. Same basics as above but with upgrades. Rotors milled for 3mm seals. Balanced. Rotor bearings from Mazda Comp. Cerma coating etc etc.

By using the FD housings it made it very easy to use the HKS stainless exhaust manifold with the T04 mounting. The turbo is a Turbonetics...jury is still out on what I think of their product. Drivetrain is T2. Control is done with Microtech. Yes, the components are worth more than the car but unlike Warren Buffet...I decided to spend my billions on an old Rx7.

Warren! Pass the djion ketchup.

I'm having the Cosmo swap going into my FC, but right now it being ported and getting preped for a complete rebuild. Anyways if you need info on the swap call the shop in my signature and ask for JR. He has swapped 13B-REW, 13B-RE, 20B, and numerous S5 into FC's and FD's. He's been dealing with nothing but rotaries for over, I think, two decades so he quite knowledgeable when it come to our RX-7s'. -Keith

yes, but it would suck. hard. the -re intakes ports are HUGE. the stock turbo can barely hold 7psi to redline on a stock port t2, i can only imagine how soon in the powerband it would die out on an -RE.

yes. a tii drive train will work with a cozmo. you need to swap out the front case of the engine to the fc. the cosmo case's pullies and coolant are in different locations. the coolant goes to the driver side when on an fc it goes straight forward on passanger side

it does have an automatic trani
you can put a tii trani on
you need to rig up a tii ecu to work for the cosmo because the stock ecu is ment for automatic trani
you can also use a programable ecu. thats what mine has
"mines" ecu
i doubt you can use the stock manafold on it. i am just having one fabricated

^ What Mazda Stuff said.

Gotham is a very good shop.. they're all great guys and like he said, they have a 13B-RE FC Vert sitting in their garage. I'm sure they can help you out.

You can easily run the stock twins in parallel if you don't have the JC ECU. In this case she does, so if the loom's also there and the plumbing is complete there there's no reason why they couldn't be made work.

Nope, the JC 2-rotor engine and trans have seperate ECU's. The engine ECU has no problem running without the auto box and it's ECU. I know this becasue a friend converted his 2-rotor JC Comso to 5-speed. The 3-rotor is a different story...

That will just be a stock ECU reprogrammed by Mines, not a programmable ECU.

i doubt you can use the stock manafold on it.
You can. An FC manifold and turbo will bolt right up.

This doesn't make sense.
The rotor housing has nothing to do with the turbo exhaust manifold position or turbo clearance to the lower intake manifold.

Someone on eBay is regularly selling these mounts for $99.
I cannot vouch on how well they fit.
All I know is that the old K2RD Cosmo mounts fit perfectly, even with the stock twins.

Actually, the upper radiator hose comes out straight forward from the engine.
The lower radiator hose comes out similar to what an FC 13B does.
