Bah, that's a common mistake.
So far the biggest retard was the guy who was asking why his engine was running funny after he replaced one of his NA rotors with a TII rotor. I wish that thread didn't disappear when the forum was rebuilt a few years ago.

Ok this may sound Like a stupid Question, But what is the Reason for the (SLIDE) lookin dealybob thingy in the exuast ports? i seen them before many times. what does it do?

Man how do you figure out how to rebuild an engine and not know that!?

i bet who ever heard the noise that thing must have made then took it apart and saw what caused it was like DoH!
And what's stranger is this... I made it 3/4 of the way to work on the freeway before that bolt got sucked in. I assumed for the last few weeks I had blown a coolant seal.

It's fine, it happens to everyone. I borked a nearly new S5 TII intermediate housing when a grinding stone exploded.
Your damager looks superficial. The housing should be to use.
