What i'm having a problem with my 87 Rx7 13B is you know that when you put on the battery that you hear the ignition angle sensor turns on well mine doesn't do that my car you put the battery on then you get in the car and you turn the electricity on and then it turns on then the car doesn't turn on all it does is make a click sound and that is it if and one can help please i have already looked it up.
It did start before now it had its problem but i got the injectors cleaned, i cleaned out all the carbon in the intake and throttle body, I changed out the ignition coils, the spark plugs are new, and It seems like i have had two starters and one is good and i don't know what to do, oh and don't say battery because it isn't. Ok good luck on this.

well my car does that when the battery is low. My car was flooded and killed my plugs so i had about 3 days of trying to start it untill i just deflooded it and put in new plugs. but the last times i tryed turning it over before i got it started, it wasnt really slowing down, it just would click like you said and do nothing. id wait and try again and it would turnover, then if i try again it would just click. if you are 100% that the battery couldnt be at least a little low on charge then i dont know what to tell you. but if you are willing to take that guess, then id try and charge it for a little while or jump it and see if it makes a differance. if you have done all of that then i guess nvm. I have a Optima and I wouldnt have thought it was that low, but it was so dont just rule something you would take for granted out like that.
thats it.
thats it.

Just because you charged the battery does not mean the battery is good. Get the battery load tested. If you don't have a proper tester, use a voltmeter to measure the battery voltage while cranking over the car w/ accessories on. If it drops below 10.5 volts, your battery is toast.
I'd try that first before looking elsewhere.

It sounds to me as if your starter solinoid is goin' out!!! Or there's a bad connection at it!!
I had the same problem a while back with my 88', if I tapped the solinoid with a wrench or the tire iron supplied with our cars it would work!! I ended up haveing to drop the tranny to replace the clutch so while it was out I took the solinoid apart cleaned it up, cleaned ALL connectors on and going to starter then reinstalled!!! Haven't had the problem since!!!
So ya check the starter solinoid, The "CLICK" your hearing is probably it trying to engage the bendix gear!!!
