Selling motor and trans. out of my 88 mazda rx-7 one bad apex seal motor still runs fairly good does not smoke at all. motor comes complete long block even turbo. trans. never grinded in any gears shifts good. Wait??? A New (rebuilt one?) for 800? Hypntyz7 a while back you said something about a complete turbo conversion for 1500? Is this true and where are we getting these engines for 800 dollars? Are they 0 milage or J-specs. I kinda would like to keep my car turbo free but if you do this for 1500 I want to know what I get and how safe it is. You can PM if you like but I am seriously interested in some of this stuff.

Yup, rebuilt 0 miles. This is a very basic rebuild, using your existing core...apex seals, gasket kit, corner seal plugs, an that's it. Still, such an engine should run several years, and the only downside to this is that you're not replacing oil seals and the like so smoking later in life becomes more of a possibility.

You can do a lot better than that for 2 or 3 hundred more, but I was just saying that you can, in reality, get a 0 mile rebuilt engine for $800 from me. IMO a cheap rebuild is still way better than a used engine. Apex seals are the main wear item of a rotary, and replacing them is the key to engine life(along with maintenance). This way, you know the engine's history from day one.

When I have turbo engines and drivetrains available I sell them for $1500 or so. I have a deal in the works to get a used running turbo engine, ad I already have the drivetran...I could either sell that used t2 engine as-is, or rebuild it and sell it all for around $2200 installed. Right now I only have the drivetain though, flywheel back, $600.

engine, year? current damage? Around $1100 will get ew apex seals, gasket kit, corner seal plugs., FD corner springs, sideseal springs, oil seals, oil thermo bypass pellet, and clean adn paint engine exterior(short block only) for an NA, turbo II's add about $125 to that price due to the more expensive gasket kit.

What's so overpriced about $600 for the flywheel back? a T2 tranny, driveshaft, differential, and halfshafts for that price seems quite fair to me.

LOL yeah I am...cause guess what, somebody who buys my **** can bolt it in and it will *work*. IT doesnt have to be rebuilt or parted out. My motto is that I never give more than $500 for an entire *car* that I wont be able to drive within a day's worth of work to it. So what do you think Im going to give for a blown engine, which half of the internals are no good...?

What I am selling will do someone good...they can either get a jspec enguine and have an entire turbo swap, or they can ru this flywheel back turbo drivetrain for more strength on their NA car.What's somebody gonna do with a blown engine...rebuild it? Only after they buy at least $500 worth of parts adn a new rotor and housing to replace the one that's shot inside yours.
Oh, and the transmission...does nobody any good without the driveshaft starter and the rest of the parts, cause you cant run a t2 tranny on a NA car without the rest of the t2 drivetrain...it wont mix and match.

So what youre selling is useless to anyone without a t2. And anyone with a t2 already would rather get a strong motor built from what they have rather than try to rebuild one thats already blown.

That's exactly right...$500 labor and whatever parts you want to go with.

Hmmm.....my engine is a 89 N/a so no turbo stuff would be required. Pretty much I would like new apex, corner and such along with coolant seals. That would be about it. The car right now is fine but I am really looking into the future to see what I can get.

HYP is just mad cause he is not making the money So when any one wants to offer me a price then go ahead I really need to get rid of these parts I live in Nebraska and don't have anyone to buy them around here. There 4 i will be really reasonable on the price so someone plz make an offer!!!

Oh, did you tell them about the hack you're about to do? Another t2 turns to the darkside, v8 conversion time. The more I think about it, I believe *you're* just mad because you cant make your car run again...and you know I could, I do it every day, to help people out that I think will be appreciative.

IF you ever venture out of cornhusker country drive through here in your v8 monster and Ill show you what a t2 should run like.

That said, Im going to prove to lucky7 that Im not just being an *******, so Im going ot refer him to someone who might be interested in his engine for parts. Ive sold cores to this guy before, for around $200 each. He lives in texas and his email is crjchef@netzero.net tell him I sent you, and learn not to be such a bitch next time...dont try to rip people off.
