huge idel problem keeps diying
i have a realy bad problem. when i start my car and let it idel half of the time it will die, or it will drop way low like almost to zero then shoot up to 1300 then drop back down then back up again. even if i let it idel for awhile, or drive at high rpm's no matter what it still does it. itsucks bad half of the time when i pull up to a red light it will drop all the way down and die. but starts right back up. so when iam at a stop every time i have to give it a little gas so it dose not die. also i here a sweek noise every so often from there. i dont think its the belt b/c its tight. its got to be the atlernator right . also i have a huge stereo system with 2 2500 watt subs, 2400 watt amp, and a 5 farad power cap. i dont even play it no more b/c of my problem. and i now its b/c of my system. the amp has 4 40 fuses, and the cap as 4 60 amp fuses. and i think the alt only puts out like 75 amps. so what to do besides dont play the system for now i need it to idle steddy. please help

My car stalled all the time immediately after startup. This was after removing A/C and P/S. Turned out that the elbow joint between the air intake and turbo had come loose. Put the two back together and the problem was gone!

Well,
it is very likely your charging system is out of commission.
When I say charging system, I mean, alternator, battery, and the cabling from alt-battery-ground.
Most likely, if the alt is gone, the battery is gone as well, so you should replace both. You may want to replace the wiring and put bigger cables, and double check the grounds.
You may want to consider getting a better alt like the FD one that user silverrotor sells. Since you probably know the FC has no torque down low, you may have difficulty idling with electricals on if the engine is tired and the alt is bigger although the BAC valve should take care of that (if you still have it, if not, you'll need to bump up the idle speed)

My car does the exact same thing and I had a buddy of mine look at it and say it might be the idle switch, all you need to do is tighten a screw, I dont know yet if that's the case for either your car or my car, but I'm taking mine in today to get that looked at and get a new windshield so I may know soon if my friend was right or not. Either way you might look into that as a possibility.

well, if it's a $100 battery, it should be fine
If the battery has not been fully discharged too many times (more than once), then it should be fine. Sorry for being a little pessimistic but most people think batteries last forever.
