How to wire FD TPS into a S5 TII?
Ive been researching for days without an answer. I need to know if there is a write up on wiring a S6 TPS to be used with a S5 TII while using a factory ECU. I know with the S4 all you need to do is to wire the narrow band and that would do it. but I have an S5!!! I happen to have a complete S6 manifolds and throttle body plus the plugs to be used to make the swap. I just need to clear this isue to decide which way to go with my build.
thanks in advance

Ok..not 100 percent on this but you will have to verify.
Since the S5 is 2 tps's and one is narrow and the other full.Let's assume this.
The FD also incorporates this.it has a narrow and full range.
so WIRING "guess".from FD TPS would be as follows.
Use brown/black and double it,tossing one of each to the S5's TPS's grounds.
Brown white is the 5 volt reference so that needs to feed the signal on both too.
green/red would be narrow band.
Black green would be Full range.
Break this down:
..................... Brown black,brown white,green/red Narrow range
.....................Brown black, brown white, black green. Full range
Sorry I don't have the s5 tps connector colors,I am going off of the FD Tps connector wiring.
NOTE: if you use the FD TPS on the s4 just use the FULL range configuration.
Search this(copy paste and enter) Haltech Installation Diagrams and Setup Tips
it was helpful to me anyways.Maybe it will be to you too.

thanks brother, I was looking arround in other forums and came accross this. i guess it helped me answer my question and im sure it can help other forum members so i decided to post it here also.
Series 4 TPS
-Orange - (+5V)
-Green/Red - Signal
-Black/Red - Ground
Series 5 TPS
- (2) Brown/Black - Ground
-Green/Red - Signal (Narrow range)
- (2) Brown/White - (5V+)
-Black/Green - Signal (Full range)
The ground and VREF wires are doubled in the harness in this particular build, because the car has two TPS units.
Series 6 TPS
-Brown/Black - Ground
-Green/Red - Signal (Narrow range)
-Brown/White - (5V+)
-Black/Green - Signal (Full range)
Got an enclosed TPS in your hands with no flying leads?
When looking directly at the FD TPS (when the push tab release is up), there are 4 pins.
1 - Ground
2 - Signal (Narrow range)
3 - (+5V)
4 - Signal (Full range)
20B TPS push tab release up.
1 - (+5V)
2 - Signal (Full range)
3 - Ground
4 - Signal (Narrow range)

Haha, I've been planning to do this swap for a few months now but haven't found too much info on using the S6 TPS and S5 ecu. Anyways, my S6 manifold, TB and other parts showed up this afternoon. I come on here to do more research and this is what I find. Awesome work, thanks a million.

I'll see if I can get this thread either duplicated or Archived.
When I was fooling around with this stuff I originally started off as S4.I made a Patch harness using the connector end of an S4 TPS.
I put a FD Tps connector on,so I wouldn't have to cut the car's Engine harness up.
I did that again when I went to an s5 TB andTps...S4 Tps connector to s5 Body harness for Tps..
I found it easier to do this as you could alter the configuration(use any TPS when you changed over) but keep the harness original.
