What is the critic point for a rebuilt ? I think they say 85 psi in haynes manual.

those numbers sound good my buddy has a t2 that has 30in the front 35 in the rear now thats low

Mazda recommended minimum is 85psi for any year model. You won't to spend $1100 for it? I hope you have read up on unflooding procedures cause you will be doing that quite a bit shortly.
Btw, my jspec from corksport has better compression numbers for about the same price.

corksport does'nt sell used j spec anymore. They are getting hard to find these days.

OK well I'm used to unflooding. I'm not a FC newb.

Also I am looking for a S4 engine which is even harder to find.

I'm leaning towards the core choice Chris. I just gotta speak with Rotaryresurrection and see what I can expect a turn around,pricing, shipping,etc..
