i have a 88t2 and a rusted through throttle cable. i have a new one from mazdatrix but have no idea how to change it. i checked the FSM and all it shows is how to adjust the cable. can someone please help or provide pics?

you gotta get up under the dash and squeeze the plastic grommet that goes through the firewall.
I'm older and impatient so this costs me 60 bucks..( I just snap it off and replace the whole cable!)

I just did this last night. since i already had the new cable i just broke the old plastic clip holding it in the firewall.
but if you don't want to destroy it you can just reach up above the pedal on the inside and squeeze the clip to release it the "right way"
