How often do you wash your car?
#29
brap brap
Once a month.
That's because it's too friggen hot to stand outside and wash her. When it gets much cooler outside, Maybe once a week or two. Depends on my mood.
Speaking of washing her, I need to

You will see after a few months of this wash/day. stuff that your car no longer looks as new as it did before. It will get dull and you will B!@#$ about needing a new paint job. My Brother in law did this same thing with his 2001 Accent. Then when you get the car repainted some of you will ignore the painters directions and start washing your poor car right when you get it back and you know what will happen if you do that? Your paint will start flaking off. Ask one of my friends, thats what happened to his. If you ask someone that paints cars for a living they will tell you to wash/wax once a month and only dust/use water only when needed. I hope some of you guys don't seriously wash your poor cars every day anyways. That much water on the car all the time and you get a scratch...man that will lead to rust. poor poor cars.
just my $.02.
I wash/wax once a month and dust/water only in between when needed.

I wash it about 1x per week and wax it about 1x per month. However I park my car in the garage. I also use a buffer for polish/wax every 3 months and go to town. 2 coats of polish and 1 coat of wax. The car looks awesome when done and totally slippery to the touch. Gives me 5mph on the top end .
White paint on these car really holds up well.

Now, 14 years and 140,000mi later, the paint is not perfect, but it's all there, and the rust isn't.

Holds up a hell of a lot better than BLUE does. (grr late '80s blue..... no matter what manufacturer it ALWAYS fades/peels badly)
is the white on FCs similar to the white on my SA where it would just absorb stains like a sponge and you'd constanly have to buff it out to keep it looking white instead of splotchy?

WTF was in the paints in the late 80's/early 90's? Lots of fading and peeling...

dust when needed (at least every two days). Otherwise, I generally have to have him looking spiffy for cruise night in the city, so he's washed once a week (incl. interior & tires), and polished/waxed every week or two.
He looks as good as possible with original paint, no garage, and crazy winnipeg weather.

I've seen the peel/fade thing happen often to black paint, and even some reds, but yours is the first white that I've head having that kind of problems.
