$148 is over 25% of the cost of a megasquirt.....Zeal was making PLUG AND PLAY ones.

The ONLY "piggy back" I have used is E-manage and its only because I can control timing with it. Which was entirely necessary on the larger turbo. Face it, even though S-afc is cheap, it will wear out other more expensive componentes faster than a proper (or closer to proper) setup would and in the end is more expensive.

We did go over it already, but i was replying to adrocks comment. and not everyone has money like you. i heard megasquirt is only for s5? if i can get a standalone for $400, please let me know because i cant find it. if not, i will stick with my $148 worth of fuel management and $1000 worth of mods and run capable 13 sec 1/4 miles instead of being all stock with microtech and getting smoked by bolton rsx and type r. now that is sad. u see where im coming from. some people have to work with a budget before they can save up for the good stuff. its just for the small satisfaction before you go big. If i had 4-5 grand to spend on a big setup i would, but obviously i dont. not everyone has a lot of money to fool around with cars all at once you know. amd there is plenty of people who have run over 150k with mild mods and safc. so its not as bad as u make it to be. standalone is harder to tune if u dont know what ur doing. and paying someone to do it will be a lot of money and just for mild mods.
