On a tight budget the NA is a blast to sport around in, but I try to stay away from races & dynos. Of course if I happen into a cash windfall - modded turbo here we come..

I put down 167rwhp@7,500 at Excessive motors sports. Since then i've done some more mods, and increased the airflow % from around 53% to 58.9% So, i'm guessing anywhere from 170-175rhwp for me. Here is a list of my mods

Blue 1990 GTU. Dual 2" manderl bent exuast (True duel), cold air intake with cone style K&N. Removed double throttle, and coolant flow to TB. Ported black elbo before TB and mass air meter. Ported upper, middle, and lower intake manifold. pineapple Racing 6 port sleeves, removed actautors, rods, etc. for 6 ports. Mildy ported 13B built by Pineapple Racing, jacobs ignition wires, Auto meter A/F meter. Short shift kit, with FD shift ****, T2 fuel pump, Hi-6. Apex S-AFC. Auto Meter shift light.

dre 2000, i suggest going and getting your FC dyno'd. Then you will be realy let down, just like i was. CJ

Enough to not complain, but not enough to make me buy another N/A. My next rex is gonna be a S5 TII (sorry guys) I run a Weapon R intake, RB header, RB presilencer, N1 single, CAP high perf. clutch, and wired open VDI and auxillary ports, removed secondary throttle plates, removed a/c. Killin ricers and runnin TAs.

Well before the engine went the way of the dodo I was doin that I mean.

1988 'vert
3" manifold back with high flow cat. (Single exhaust)
Cone intake in cold air box
6 ports wired open (this HURTS low end, does nothing up top- mine were just stuck and I didn't want to remove the manifold to fix it!)

130 rwhp. That's exactly 20 more than a stock (near perfect) 87 that dynod 15 minutes before me.

For all those who want PROOF on HP numbers you can give me the money for a dyno test. Correct me if I'm wrong but most people have an n/a cas they do not have enough money to buy a turbo.

If you don't have the money for a dyno run, you should post a HP figure that is not backed up! IMO

BDoty...Um no. I ajve an N/A cuz I wanted an N/A. I could have easily afforded a TII, but the learning curve for a boosted engine (much less a rotary) was a little steep for me a year ago. Now, I am going turbo because I want to. N/A is still a LOT of fun, so don't dog it. And hp is not the most important # to worry about. Also, the FC (TII or N/A) was not designed as a super fast car. It was designed as a very driveable, well handling car. Hence the 50/50 weight distrubition and McPhearson struts at the corners, as well as 4 wheel disk brakes.
