How much did you pay for your FC?
I was just wondering how much money everybody paid for their FC? What type of condition was it in? How many miles were on it? Was it turbo or not?

Just had it a week today......
Just bought mine last week.
$1,500 for
1986 GXL
100,000 miles
Last oil change was at 99,000 miles in 1995
Almost perfect condition, no rust, brakes need a little help, interior pieces not perfect, but all in all great car.
Actually bought the car in hopes of eleminating my monthly payment, and saving for a Typhoon, but I like the car so much after I get my Typhoon I might just keep it

Good luck. The '89~'91 T2 don't go for what KBB says they should. Too much demand, too little supply. I know I paid too much for my '89, but it was worth it (if I tell myself that enough I just might believe it someday).

Bought the 86 NA for 900 bux, small oil leak, small PS leak, and some faded paint... oh yeah sport pkg -- New motor was 40k old, and a rebuilt tranny a couple years back - - It still runs like a champ
And bought the 89 GXL (NA) for 1500 not a thing wrong with it -- Motor has 100k on it, its damn smooth...

$1500 for an 88 SE. good body and ran VERY smooth, but had a shot clutch. guy thought tranny was bad (he wasn't the brightest guy in the world) and wanted to get rid of it. $200 later, it had a brand new clutch.

I stole it.
$1790 including tax and title. 65k original one owner miles. Original paint, no accidents, no body work.
Problems: Steering rack leak, BAC valve.
It was traded in dirty as hell, but impeccibly maintained.

I bought a non-running 89 GTU for $1200. I know that sounds like a lot, but I have since gutted the interior to make it an race car, and have recouped about half my money so far. The motor is whole but was seriously overheated. The car already had the 4 puck brakes added on, and the body and interior are mint. By the time I get done parting out the non-essentials, I should be into the car for a couple of hundred.

88 Anniversary TII. had a little over 1 year. has 121,000 miles now, when I bought it it had 115,000 miles. Paid $ 2,350.00
It has a messed up idle...I have a bad feeling it is low compression
It needs the following:
Leather seats redone
master cylinder replaced
A/C doesn't work
Oil leak.not sure where its coming from
shocks
and a few other misc. stuff
Have done the following:
Redone most of the vaccum lines
replaced exhaust from turbo back..no cats..really need HP exhaust.
have turbo xs BOV.
later

I paid $950 for my baby with about 170,000 miles... than added a new clutch almost immediately .... the engine is strong....but she does need a little work... right now I need a starter or solenoid most of all!! Unfortunately that will have to wait until I get paid on the 15th of December! .... because the pay check I get on the 30th is already spent. Doh!
Should I have to worry about starting her in the 15th after sitting for about 3 weeks... I think if the battery holds up it shouldn't be a problem...Right?

I paid $4500 CDN which is sort of equal to ~$3000 USD. 119,000miles, ~1000 on the new engine. In the past year the guy who owned it previously had spent ~$6000 CDN on it and I spent $450 upon purchase, fixing it.

$1700 for my '86 SE. It had 87,000 miles on it and the quarter panel was dented and scratched. The 6 ports are stuck, but those were the only things wrong with it when I bought it. I have had some problems come up since then like, leaky injectors, bad clutch master cylinder, and now a cooling problem.
