How much can i get for this turbo 2
before buying the car, the car had hail damage on the hood. a baseball size dent near the third brake light. driver side door dent and door mechanical failure.
after buying the car, i had the s4 tail lights swapped out for s5 tail lights. fixed the mechanical failure in the driver side door and installed power locks. replaced the slave clutch cylinder and rebuilt the master clutch cylinder.
kept the car pretty much stock, and has about 115,XXX miles on it now... some of the paint is peeling, i sprayed some paint to cover some areas i sanded for future paint job to prevent rusting in that area.
how much am i looking on getting?

Sequentially broken
I'd say probably $2200 or so with just the information given (Which isn't much, it doesn't really say the year, interior quality, or anything else). But for a body in need of paint/minor repair, somewhat older engine, and not much done I'd say that be an average ballpark region. Or slightly less, given your second post.

sorry to say 750 to 1200 to much work to do, body and paint $2000 ++ idles at like 2000 rpms and the engines been idle surging around 2500... plus there's an exhaust leak this can get $$$$ to fix. now that said part out could get u a lot more.

Paint looks very nice though...seriously, $500?
Was that a "good guy" price or the regular deal for anyone.
Hell, for that kind of money I could drive up to Idaho and stay in a motel for a couple of weeks and still save over a paint job down here...

theres one picture... that's the baseball size dent i was talking about. this picture was taken before i swapped the s5 tail lights and put on the stock spoiler.
what can i say, i bought it from some guy who use to do some autocross and then became a doctor.

You look awfully young to be driving.

And that is my sidekick, he just loves daddy's "racecar" because it "goes faster"
Back on Topic: I really couldnt see you getting much more than $1000 for the car if there is that much wrong with it, but it wouldnt hurt anything to post it on craigslist or a local classifieds for more and see if anyone takes it, I hate seeing cars on here parted out, one less 7 in the world, kinda sad

yea, i'd hate to part it out. which i wont... i rather sell the thing whole. but i'm waiting to get my car fixed up a bit more... at the very least i know its still strong, i can pull away from those first generation DSMs, but get killed on the long run.

gahh man dont listen to these people.. rx7owners run down the value of our cars lol
Fix the engine problem, sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere. Check the turbo condition etc. Than push for 3-4k. Take Awesome pictures, its all how you market the car, Know what your talking about... If you act like you dont know much about the car, than you will receive low offers.
A good runing rx7 is what keeps its value.. a nice rx7 with a bad motor sadly isnt worth much because of the general consumer's fear of the rotary engine.

yea i know what you mean... but its still to cold up here. i'll probably check and clean the throttle body in spring and maybe repaint the hood and fill in the hail damage and other areas, but i still got to check the exhaust pipes... i know a part down there is broken cause i can feel the exhaust fume/heat come from under.
