How many T2 in the 12's Zone????????
I was wondering how many T2 were in the 12's 1/4 zone,and what do you have to get there, thanz

Well lets talk STOCK TURBO, hehe sorry guys, but all I need is bigger secondairs and a profect b, hopefully I'll be in the low to mid 13s by then, anyone into the 12s with a stock turbo and ecu?

That's my goal for next year actaully. I want mid 12's. Hopefully I'll have an REW motor in. If not I'll just go with a J-spec or something. Then a turbo upgrade. W/ lots of fuel upgrades. And some sort of EMS.
Luckily I've got a rotary engine builder, a Mazda parts/install shop, and a dyno tuner that's very familiar with RX-7's all in town here.

I've got a 3" Turbo back exhaust, TID and Intake, FCD or course. No fuel mods yet, but I broke into the 15's at the track. It was the first run of my life and I barely beat an RSX-S with my 15.2 to his 15.3. It showed my mph as 78 or something.... can't figure that one out

um...is something wrong with your car??? What psi are you running? My 88 went mid 14's @ 98mph stock? With those mods you should be fairly quick. And yes, you'll want fuel mods FAST. I got some new 720cc secondaries for sale, if you're interested.

Your reaction time must have been really bad. And probably your 60' time needs some work.

reaction time has nothing to do with your E.T. although it comes to play when you race. TII's ran 15.00's stock.....so if that's not what you're getting, something is wrong

I was getting 16.00 all day long one day of racing. Not touching the intercooler. But I did back to back runs and poured just a little bit of watter in the IC because I thought I didn't have enough cool down time. It dropped a 1/10th off my time. I ended up breaking out and losing. So I then thought I would experiment. I packed the IC w/ ice, let it sit a few mins, then raced w/ the ice on it. Ended up dropping 3/10ths from the weekend's average. 15.7?@?? I was happy with that time for a stock turbo rotory that has 170,000 miles and 15 years old. Then later I found out one of intercooler pipes clamp was not tight. I figure I was loosing a bit of air there. So maybe add a 1/10th more? 15.6 we'll say. I think that is a killer time for the mileage that's on it.

hey i ran 12.86 on saturday with the stock turbo but my turbo only lasted 1 run b/c i ran it w/o a waste gate and was pegging out like 16 lb. of boost i have a lot of stuff on my car right now tho so just e-mail me at ucinathan@aol.com if u want to find out

to answer ?'s about my run... I have all the interval times, but they're at home. I might be able to get a hold of them. My R/T was 1.16s or somewhere in that neighborhood. Definately upwards of a second, but not much. And as was mentioned earlier, that has no effect on your ET. However, I had some bad tire spin, then backed off and the engine had almost no life, so my 60' time had to have been ****. After that, it was pretty much an easy run. I got to about 8psi that run I believe, since I had ported my wastegate and did't have the TID and cone filter. I should probably add fuel mods, but the A/F gauge is showing pretty damn rich, plus I don't get on it too much, and also, there's alot of other things I need to fix on the car before I start spending a TON of money on fuel. That's an expensive system to modify right.

I knew of a guy who had a tenth ann running 12.7s with a stock turbo and ECU. He had an NPR intercooler, an some fuel mods..... though I don't remember many details because I was 16 when I saw the car, and I didn't know much about modifying cars back in those days. Supposedly his motor was built by crispeed.

1.16 60' time, with a 15.2 1/4 time eh? something doesnt sound right there. might want to think that 60' time over again.

with a FMIC, fuel, and tuning, is it really possible for a t2 to get into the 12's on the stock turbo and ecu using a piggyback SAFC? Assume it's a great driver and on drag radials....

im in the 12s fmic, safc,720 inj,3" exhaust stock 91 turbo 15psi but ive got 60-1 upgrade just waiting on the exhaust housing of the turbo and fuel upgrade and by the way stock motor

yeah... if I had a 1.anything 60' time I'd consider building my TII engine. However, since that was the RT and my 60' was probably a little (or a HELL of alot) higher, I'm thinking of a DSM for reliablity and speed mixed.... And this is probably my last post here since it's not thread related. But I'm starting another in general auto for my "project car" ideas.
