How many miles on one quart of oil??
We all know that Wankles by design burn oil. I'm just curious of everyones experience.
I have a Street port 4 port 13B that used a quart about every 1,000 miles.
I also have a rebuilt to stock 6 port 13B in my '88 Vert that i put in about 1 1/2 years ago. Uses one quart every 650 miles.
This could be interesting. Hopefully, this isn't a repeat.

Dang fer-ners...........
always reminding the US still hasn't caught up to using the Metric System. Next he's gonna remind that Europe got the factory Turbo Verts and we didn't.
For us un-worthy's, care to share conversions so as to correct this unintentional flaw in my pole?
XX km= XX Miles
XX liters = XX Quarts

Early morning thoughts--if erred, please correct
Heres a thought:
1 gallon=128 oz
1 quart=32 oz
1000 miles/20mpg=50 gallons
50gallonsX128oz=6400 oz of fuel burned for 1000 miles
or 3200 oz of fuel burned for 500 miles
6400oz/32oz=200:1 gas:oil ratio (1q per 1000miles)
3200oz/32oz=100:1 gas:oil ratio (1q per 500miles)
Conclusion 1 quart every 500 miles = 100:1 Reasonable, but I run my Mercury outboards at 50:1
Conclusion 1 quart every 1000 miles= way too lean for oil to actually do anthing OR you drive like a wimp
If MPG increases(NA), less fuel is used and with above assumptions, fuel:oil ratio increases(good).
For you T2 users(less MPG), your amount of fuel used is greater which is bad(fuel:oil ratio is leaner).
Please, will everyone run added premix.

Ah, I see a segway
Didn't think about the pre-mix crowd. This is the first I've actually seen the mix ratio in print.
Anyway, my intent was to get a feel for Wankles with OMP's oil usage. This trait is part of the personality of our Rex's that make them unique.
Curious if the oil comsumption is different between a T2 and a NA. Also, there shouldn't be, but if S5's with their electronic OMP is more efficient than S4's with their mechanical OMP.
Any move voting members out there?

Yes. Mine takes very little oil. Normal driving is around half quart for every uuummmmm like two and a half weeks wich is around 1000 miles per half quart or
2000 per quart or 1.5 to 2 quarts per oil change wich I try and do every 3k or less.

WTF? Both my NA and TII have used 1/2 to 1 a quart between 3,000 mile oil changes. They do however seem to suck it up during long trips where throttle position doesn't vary much ~1/4 to 1/2 a quart in a 300 mile trip sometimes. Are my cars freaks?

i don't even check my oil i just change it every 2500 miles and everytime i change it is still above the e line and my buzzer never came on (yes it does work i found that out when my oil lines went)

I check my oil every time I get gas. I use about 1 quart every oil change, or 3000 miles. My car has 152,000 miles on the original engine, and doesn't leak a drop. I've sometimes wondered if my car uses too little oil.
