Real weird to drive when you're high, though,
haven't you seen those new commercials? like 85% of accidents caused by drunk driving, the drivers also had marijuana in their system. that's bad.
don't do drugs and drive..... or do drugs, period

The commercials say that 1/3 of all wreckless driver-related accidents are marijuana related (ie, the driver at fault tested positive for marijuana).
You'll test positive for weed for about a month after you smoke, so while the commercials may be right about that, they don't say (and can't say, really) whether or not the driver was actually under the influence of marijuana.
Furthermore, as far as I'm concerned, alcohol is much more dangerous than marijuana. Also, I think driving while sleeping is worse that marijuana, anyway.
Case in point: I drive worse when I'm really tired than when I'm high. And I can barely walk when I'm drunk, much less drive. But I can drive fine while I'm high.
Marijuana isn't addictive, and alcohol is. Being real fucked up on marijuana is much different than being really drunk.

if you want tough, try turning a 7,000 pound suburban with 9" tires w/o power streering, anything UNDER 10mph is harder than a business man at a strip club, but you do get used to it, it builds muscles, hehe

j200: i'm probably going to get a smaller steering wheel for my car (although i have the manual rack). I'm not sure how much it will help turning, though...I'm doing mostly for knee-room.

i still have ps in my car and i love however when i slow down and prepare to take a turn its like it turns off. I know its full of ps fluid and im almost positive its not a leak, so what gives. its an 88SE btw

Whats your idle at? My idle is messed up so my car dies every once and awhile, but when Im slowing down sometimes it idles rough and my brakes arent power assisted. Man I should really get that fixed.

I have a friend that's really dumb.. she will roll a blunt and smoke it as she is driving down the street. She has been in more car wrecks than ANYONE I have EVER seen. Has two DUIs and even rolled her car into a ditch once.
I don't know how she's alive.

I removed the PS on my daily driver. It makes it so much more fun to drive. It takes a couple days to get use to, but once you do, it makes a whole new driving experience. The hardest times I've ever had with it was making a U turn with one hand, because I was on a cell phone. Made the turn perfectly, it just took a tiny bit of effort.

ditch it. you will get used to it after a week or two. I love it, I feel like the car is pasted on the road, every move I make the car responds. One problem is on those uneven roads where the road "guides" you tires one way, the car will go and you'll feel it, otherwise get rid of the PS. If it doesnt make sense let me know, cuz it makes sense in my head.

I'm a Computer Engineer and I have absolutely NO problem with no PS on 225 tires. I don't even think about it. My arms have like a 5 inch circumferance.
Only downside is the slower steering.... I wish it had the same ratio as the PS rack.
As for the pot stuff, remember the winter olymics where the snowboarder from Canada was robbed of gold (then had it returned) because he was at a party months before where OTHER people were smoking up?
I'm not promoting pot , but it's ignorant stupid to condem pot use but not booze. (I use niether) Lots of pot over time causes some problems. So does booze. Booze is adictive and causes all sorts of social problems. Pot causes socal problems, but most are probably due to the fact that it is illegal and the activity that goes with it. eg. Drug dealers, violence, crime bad, vs. selling it in a store would have none of that.

I'm at 100% agreement with $150FC....
I personally have had friends killed in drunk driving accidents (passengers, not the driver killed).
I have avoided most accidents while loaded, that I feel most 'sober' people would have been included in or started.
Remember: When you're high, your extra cautious about your actions from self doubt, or not wanting to get pulled over. I drive more cautiously when high.
When you're drunk, at least when I am, you're a cocky SOB that can "do anything, and drive better" than others. I've crashed cars on alcohol, I've saved cars on weed
Having No P/S helps you feel the road and transmits vibration. P/S reduces effort for around town driving but can be decieving at high speeds for the lack of feel, however is more stable in pot holes and grooved highways.
