depending on whether you have a turbo or not will answer this for you. If you have an NA then you are perfectly fine to run 87 octane gas and you will make no gains my running a higher octane fuel. If you have a turbo you should be running premium and if you are booosting high then you may need to worry about raising your octane level. For running premix... search for it cause theres a lot on the forum about that

ideally, you want to run the lowest octane you can w/o detonation. The higher the octane, the harder it is to burn. The only reason you can get more power from the higher octane is the ability to run higher boost or more ignition advance.

i would only suggest premix if your oil pump has problems. i run some mmo in the tank to help clean carbon and some extra insurance.

j-rat, there are some people that read and find out instead of believing that the octane booster ads are right and will add 50hp to the car with one bottle of 103+.

As for your premix question, the best type of oils to run are Redline or Purple Royal, just make sure what ever u run is designated by TCW3 somewhere on label.

I use castrol grand prix. Works fine and stays suspended in the gas.
